David Bowie, photographed for the cover of the Loving The Alien single 3.12.1985
"It was around 1:30 in the morning at the end of two days of filming David Bowie’s Loving The Alien video, and I had to say to the crew 'sorry but we still need to do the shots for the single sleeve.' And everyone stayed. The make-up artist applied the blue face paint, the lighting guys set up a light, and the art dept put the plastic “stained glass” on the wall. Of the studio bathroom. And David Bowie stood in the bathtub while I took these shots" - Steve
Heartfelt photos from the lens of exiled Londoner Steve Rapport - a music-lover & campaigner for social & racial justice, who is often fortunate enough to be in the right place at the right time. Steve now resides in New Orleans, where he opened his (mostly) rock 'n' roll gallery in October 2022. The gallery is located at 627 St Peter St, in the heart of the French Quarter.

My husband is a photographer who worked with some very famous people but never got to work with his idol, David Bowie. He absolutely loves the photo!
Great store with many super photos! Excellent service and quality!!
I gave the David Bowie Loving the Alien photograph to my daughter-in-law for Christmas. She literally screamed with delight! She is a big time David Bowie fan. She said it was her all time favorite present, ever!
This photo is superb and dealing with Steve is an absolute pleasure. Thanks so much Steve.
Great collections. Very friendly photographer
I wanted to send one of Steve's iconic prints to a dear friend & devoted Bowie fan in Japan. I was torn between choosing from a couple of images. Steve was kind enough to offer his professional/personal opinion for a choice(after all, he was there!), which I gladly went with.
This print is STUNNING!! The hues are HD Technicolor, signed by Steve & a piece of rock n' roll history. Any size of this Bowie image would be breathtaking!
