My Echo and the Bunnymen library was incomplete until I picked up Steve Rapport's book Under Blue Moon! With so many lush photos to gaze upon my standouts are probably Les Pattinson at McGonagles Dublin, Will Sergeant at Royal Shakespeare, Pete de Freitas at Royal Albert Hall, and Ian McCulloch at Howth Harbor (pg 34.) Steve's photography of The Bunnymen is shows their youth, their eyes searching but knowing, light and shadow play, in action playing their instruments, and so much vulnerability. You can sense it in the group photo on pg 53 - standing together on Ha'penny Bridge, Dublin Ireland. There will never be another band as grandiose as Echo, as mystical, questioning, tortured, or intense. I'm forever thankful for Steve having been there and memorialized their essence.

I absolutely love this book! Very high quality product . The photos really give me that nostalgic feeling I had when I first got into The Bunnymen back in the day! It's like having every tour book in one volume! Except the photos are even better. There are some photos of Pete that are worth the price of admission alone. Also, Steve is an awesome guy that takes excellent care of every transaction. The book was a birthday gift to myself (Lol) and Steve even took the time to included an Ian McCullouch card with personalised birthday wishes! Thanks again Steve for making this special glimpse into my favorite bands past possible! Cheers!

Wonderful shots of the Bunnymen. I can't say the Bunnymen are my most favorite band of all time but I anytime I get a chance to see them play live, I do. And that has been a lot. It's nice to have a photo compendium of what feels like, at this point, old friends that have been a constant throughout life.

Great book and photographs of a band just on the cusp of their own legend. Steve’s images of the Bunnymen live are amongst the best I’ve ever seen and really convey the mood. Excellent essay thanks Steve. Fast delivery to the UK too.

This is a beautiful book with a capital b.
If you were mesmerized by the Bunnymen in the early eighties, especially when you have seen them live, you will love the pictures by Steve Rapport. It captured my memories when I saw them for the first time in 1980 in Amsterdam. They blew me away then when I was 20. The music still does in 2021.

My book arrived the day before I left for a one week vacation, and I just opened it for the first time this morning. I am thrilled with the photographs within it, and pleasantly surprised that it is one of only a limited collection. It is a great book that will go well with other music coffee table books I own.
Whether it will skyrocket in value is not of concern to me. I am just very pleased to have this book as part of my collection.

“Under Blue Moon” is a generous and magical treasure, a must for Bunnymen fans. These early 80’s glimpses of the group capture both innocence and destiny. These photos have a rare and elevated intimacy, a stark and naked beauty. You can hear the sound the Bunnymen coming from these pages.

It’s a book, a very classy book showcasing the Bunnymen during the period when they were at their most powerful. If you followed the band at that time the you will recognise most of them from the NME etc. Steve captured the essence of the band and kudos to him.

Fantastic images as ever Steve!

'Under Blue Moon' (photographer Steve Rapport) is an eclectic collection of early Echo and the Bunnymen photographs from the time period 1980-1983. The rare photographs of band members Ian McCulloch, Will Sergeant, Les Pattinson, and Pete deFreitas are captured in 64-pages of beautiful color and B&W images. These original images were taken by the author/photographer and are not reproductions. The photographs are printed on brilliant luster paper with each copy numbered and signed by the author. I would encourage, highly recommend this publication to all Echo and the Bunnymen fans!
Cheers!
