Annie Lennox : Here Comes The Rain Again #3
Annie Lennox of Eurythmics, photographed during the filming of the Here Comes The Rain Again video in the Orkney Islands 12.7.1983.
Just before Christmas 1983, in a freezing cold stone croft in the Orkney Isles, we were filming Eurythmics' Here Comes The Rain Again video. No lights, just candles. Everywhere.
While Annie was in the bed setting up the next shot, Dave was holding forth, as I leaned up against a gnarly old dressing table, hanging on Dave's every word. And in the midst of his discourse, Dave casually threw away the line "your jacket's on fire", like it's the most natural thing in the world. But it wasn’t the most natural thing in the world. It was on fire!
And here's photographic proof, taken by Dave on my Nikon when we arrived back at Heathrow.
